Sursum Corda is a co-ed Service Organization at Loyola Marymount University. We've existed on campus for 21 years, established on November 12th, 1992!
Sursum Corda means "lift up your heart" in Latin. Which is exactly what we do: we lift hearts all over the Los Angeles and LMU communities.

We are the largest service organization on LMU's campus with 60 members. We're a group of very diverse people and we let our multiplicity generate a true family atmosphere. We are exceptionally proud of the tight bonds our members form.
We have seven various service placements that our members volunteer at; Guadalupe Homeless Project, Good Shepherd, St. Josephs, Ocean Park Community Center, Feed the Hungry, Boys and Girls Club, and Beach Clean Up. You can learn more about them on our "Service Placements" tab!
Our members are devoted to volunteering at these, and many other service sites throughout LA with a requirement of 30 hours Off campus and 5 hours of on campus service.

Did you know that of all living mammals, the giraffe has the largest heart? That's why our newly adopted mascot is a Giraffe, who goes by the name of Francois.
